A beginning user’s guide to the National Reporting System

The National Reporting System (NRS) is a nationally recognised mechanism for reporting outcomes of adult english language, literacy and numeracy programmes.

The following example of using the NRS is designed to introduce new users to the various components of the NRS and demonstrate how those components work together.

Once you are familiar with the NRS you can:

  • use the Express Route to get to any component of the NRS directly

Or

  • use the Using the NRS section which provides a path through the information specifically for reporting purposes.

To learn about the development and purpose of the NRS select the Theoretical Underpinnings section from the home page. This section provides information on:

  • The process of developing the NRS.
  • The components of the NRS.
  • An overview of the NRS.

To examine a range of contexts for the application of the NRS select the Case Studies section from the home page.
