Collect evidence from assessment process for summative assessment At the end of the 400 hours training Margaret and Rosie sit down together to collate all Rosies assessment tasks and evidence of her achievements against the NRS. They have done this regularly during the course examining what progress she has made in reaching the Learning Outcomes and rating them against the NRS. They discuss the Language Literacy and Numeracy Features and Performance ticking them off and attaching them to the Cover Sheet for each task. In this process Rosie is able to demonstrate NRS Learning Strategy Indicator of Competence 4.9 - Evaluates appropriateness of learning strategies/practices and refines activities to achieve goals and enhance learning The material already selected for the portfolio is reviewed and Margaret completes an overall NRS report using the adaption from NRS Sample Proforma 1. This portfolio summarises all the NRS Indicators achieved by Rosie across the NRS Aspects of Communication. Margaret also prepares an index to the assessment tasks covering the NRS Indicators of Competence and Aspects of Communication . These are reproduced below Prepare reports A full report for the provider learner file with sample material is prepared. The Portfolio agreed by Margaret and Rosie to represent her work during the course with an Index to the assessment tasks and a summary of the NRS Indicators of Competence achieved in the six Aspects of Competence is filed in the provider learner file. This file will provide evidence of the post course assessment for verification if required. Rosie signs off permission for her file to be viewed by teaching staff and be available for verification.
She reviews Rosies report and ticks the box that claims a successful training outcome, that is, Rosie has achieved the required progress against the NRS to make this claim. |
