| Evaluation of the effectiveness of the program |

The participants are generally enjoying the project or at least appreciating the opportunity to develop and refine their communication skills. They are often surprised to discover that overcoming initial fear is often the hardest challenge and that once this is accomplished the rest is well ... not easy but not as overwhelming as they originally thought. Activate Training Centre will report on each client in this programme using a DEST form which shows the student initial levels of reading, writing, oral communication, numeracy and learning strategies using the NRS Indicators of Competence and the assessment of the students Portfolio at the end of the programme.
